Northern Piedmont Community Foundation
2026 Cohort: The KNIGHTS

Renard Carlos serves as Program & Outreach Manager for the Northern Piedmont Community Foundation, where he collaborates on initiatives dedicated to strengthening communities through philanthropy across Culpeper, Fauquier, Madison, and Rappahannock counties. He approaches his work with a strong belief that lasting impact is achieved through collaboration and building partnerships. In his role with the foundation, he works on community grantmaking, scholarship administration, and nonprofit engagement.

Renard’s commitment to collaboration is also reflected in his broader record of public service and leadership. In 2018, he was elected as an At-Large member to the Warrenton Town Council, serving a four-year term where he worked with colleagues, community members, and regional partners to advance initiatives important to the residents of Warrenton, with a strong focus on affordable housing. He has brought the same collaborative approach to his service on the boards of Fauquier Health, The Northern Piedmont Community Foundation, Laurel Ridge Community College, and Ethnos College. From 2020 to 2022, he also served as Vice President of the Fauquier County NAACP, where he worked with community partners to advance initiatives promoting justice and civil rights.
