2026 Cohort: The KNIGHTS
Michaela Weglinski is the Stewardship Coordinator at The Piedmont Environmental Council (PEC), where she organizes and conducts annual conservation easement monitoring and stewardship across the organization’s nine-county service area. As a Fauquier resident and conservation professional, Michaela is passionate about connecting landowners and community members to resources and practices that help us preserve, protect, and explore the natural beauty of the Virginia Piedmont.
When she’s not at her desk or in the field, Michaela enjoys going on hikes and bike rides, seeing live music, and spending time with her husband and their two cats. She also likes engaging in community-based wellness practices such as authentic relating, ecstatic dance, group meditation, and forest bathing. She is excited to join Leadership Fauquier’s Class of 2026 to cultivate and sharpen her leadership skills, connect with fellow leaders, deepen her connection to the county, and learn more about community organizing at the local level.
