Meghan Mangrum

Meghan Mangrum is the managing editor of the Fauquier Times, a nonprofit weekly newspaper operated by Piedmont Media. An award-winning journalist, she moved to Virginia in February 2024 after a stint as city editor for The Bozeman Daily Chronicle in Montana. Previously, she spent more than six years covering education in Texas for The Dallas Morning News and in Tennessee for The Tennessean and the Chattanooga Times Free Press. A former educator, she served with AmeriCorps from 2013 to 2015 in Central Florida before attending graduate school at the University of Florida. She’s also taught undergraduate journalism courses and is dedicated to mentoring the next generation of journalists. She was a member of the 2025 cohort of Leadership Fauquier. She currently lives in Amissville with her partner, his son and their four dogs.
