Lauren Buffum

Lauren Buffum is Senior Vice President and Market Executive for F&M Bank, serving Warrenton and the greater Fauquier County community. With more than 20 years of banking experience across retail, small business, commercial lending, and trust and fiduciary services, she is passionate about building lasting relationships and helping local businesses, families and farms achieve their financial goals. A longtime Fauquier County resident, Lauren combines deep community roots with proven leadership, having completed BB&T’s Leadership Development Program, earned the Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA) designation, and graduated from ABA Executive Leadership Program. She is also a graduate of George Mason University and has served in numerous community leadership roles, including Treasurer of the Fauquier Free Clinic, Past President of the Warrenton Rotary Club and Treasurer for several nonprofit organizations. Known for her authentic, wholehearted leadership style, Lauren is committed to strengthening the community through relationship-focused banking and meaningful civic engagements. Looking ahead, Lauren is honored to join the 2026-2027 Leadership Fauquier class, an opportunity that aligns with her passion for lifelong learning, community engagement and collaborative leadership.
