Cindy Sabato

Cindy Sabato, APR is a proud member of the Leadership Fauquier Class of 2022 and was elected by her cohort to represent their class on the board of directors. She moved to Virginia from Rhode Island in fall 2019, and as the country emerged from a global pandemic, found this program a tremendous way to get to know the people and places of her new home. Cindy is active in local community theatre, passionate about native plant gardening, loves to hike and forage for mushrooms, and currently serves as co-director of communications and outreach at The Piedmont Environmental Council, a long-time Leadership Fauquier sponsor and program day host. She holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from James Madison University, universal accreditation in public relations from the Public Relations Society of America, and a certificate in nonprofit practice from Tufts University John Tisch School of Civic Life. She makes frequent stops for wildlife.
