Jordan Coleman
Fauquier County Fire Rescue
2026 Cohort: The KNIGHTS
Jordan Coleman brings 17 years of 9-1-1 experience to his role as Captain and EMS Supervisor with Fauquier County Fire Rescue. He oversees countywide EMS operations across 651 square miles and 10 fire stations, each housing an ambulance, while also providing advanced care to the critically ill and injured. Jordan first promoted in Fauquier County four years ago as a Lieutenant and advanced to Captain a year ago, building on previous leadership experience in other organizations. As a Critical Care Paramedic and certified EMS and Fire Instructor, he is committed to raising the level of care for both patients and providers.
Serving a rural county presents unique challenges, including longer transport times — giving providers more time with patients and making advanced care in the field even more vital. Jordan’s early inspiration came from the old saying, “always look for the helpers,” a reminder that even in moments of crisis, there are people who step forward to make things better. That perspective continues to guide his approach to service and leadership today. His leadership philosophy is simple: when you take care of your people and ensure they are happy, healthy, and safe, they will take care of everything else. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, whether it’s experiencing the cold of Alaska or the warmth of the Caribbean.
